DATE: Georgian, c.1800

A gorgeous Georgian flat-cut garnet half hoop ring dating from the turn of the 19th Century. The five stones rest in foil backed pie-crust settings, and show great colour and illumination as the light reflects off the foil and back through them. It was hand made in England circa 1800, modelled in 9 karat gold and featuring the split shoulders and grooved shank typical of the period. This ever popular style is becoming harder and harder to find, especially in such good condition.
