Georgian 7.4ct Old Cut Diamond Flower Brooch Pendant
$10,850.00
Description
DATE: Georgian, c.1830
This beautifully made antique flower brooch dates from the Georgian period, circa 1830. Modelled as a dog rose, the central old mine cut stone is surrounded by bright and chunky old mine cut "petals"- approx. 7.4ct total weight. It's crafted in 15k yellow gold with silver settings, and it comes complete with a brooch fitting- however we love to see this worn as a pendant... With open backed settings, the stones shine perfectly, and it remains in fantastic condition. Antique jewellery often includes floral motifs, as part of the "Language of Flowers", whereby each flower or plant represented some romantic or emotional sentiment... This gorgeous flower comes complete with it's box.
