DATE: Georgian, c.1790

This pretty antique locket pendant takes the form of a padlock, set with graduated natural pearls and featuring a small rock crystal compartment at the centre. Modelled in 18k gold, the compartment opens from the back to add your own memento. The padlock symbolises a "secure" memory, ensuring the loved one was never forgotten by the wearer. Dates from the Georgian period, circa 1790.
