Victorian 5.1ct Diamond Navette Cluster Ring
$9,800.00
Description
DATE: Victorian, c.1890
A fantastic late Victorian cluster ring... The large navette shaped head spreads across the entire finger, and is set with gorgeous cluster of old mine cut diamonds, weighing in at 5.1 carats total. It features a lovely pierced gallery, allowing lots of light in behind the stones which glisten beautifully. With split shoulder details, the band is crafted in rich 18k yellow gold, with silver settings.
The term navette - interchangeable with marquise - comes from the French word for a weaver's shuttle, literally "little ship", and are also sometimes referred to as boat rings. This one sits North-South along the finger.
