DATE: Art Deco, c.1920

A lovely platinum wedding band dating from the 1920's. The band is slim with floral and scroll engravings with rows of fine millegrain along the outer edges. Fits a 6.25 finger.

Platinum was popular in the 1910s and 20s and 30's, especially during the Art Deco period. It became the preferred metal for engagement and wedding rings, and improvements in manufacturing techniques allowed jewellers to work confidently with platinum for the first time.
