DATE: Mid Century, c.1940

This sensational French ring dates from the 1940's and is set with a gorgeous array of gemstones. The main event, a 2ct (approx.) Burma sapphire, with no indications of heat. It displays a gorgeous and deep colour, and is set east-west across the chunky and oversized band. Two chunky and sparkly diamonds are set at each each side of the stone, with a total carat weight of 1.2ct. The remaining diamonds are pave set, adorning the shoulders and completely surrounding the three main stones, weighing in at a 1.53ct total. It's crafted in rich 18k yellow gold throughout, with French marks to the outer band and presents a striking appearance.
