DATE: Georgian, c.1780

A mouth-watering Georgian rivière necklace made up of juicy almandine garnets, graduating in size across the chain. Each link is set with an alternating cut of the gem- gorgeous oval and pear cuts with square/diamond shaped motifs set with four garnets each (approx. 26.38ct total). Its modelled in 15k gold throughout, and the stones are foil backed enhancing their rich colour and sparkle against the typical Georgian rosey gold settings. It has a wearable length of 16.5 inches and fastens with a concealed clasp and fine safety chain, and it remains in lovely condition considering its age!
