DATE: Vintage, c.1970

A beautiful Vintage boxed necklace made by renowned jewellers Cropp & Farr, and displayed in fitted box by crown jewellers, Garrard & Co. Dating to the 1970's, this fantastic piece can be worn as a necklace (of course), a brooch and even two bracelets. Modelled as a floral spray, its dripping with icy white diamonds and vibrant Burma rubies throughout. The centre piece is detachable from the necklace itself, and features gorgeous white and yellow (18k) gold work, creating floral and foliate shapes. The white gold is set diamonds, while small clusters of rubies are dotted around the piece. Leading up towards the chain is further floral detailing, with small clusters of diamonds and rubies amongst gold "strips" ending with white gold foliate motifs. The rest of the chain is slinky and flexible, crafted in 18k gold with a wearable length of 15 and a half inches.

Cropp & Farr was founded in 1917 in London and created created beautiful brooches, earrings, rings, necklaces, cufflinks and bracelets. They were well known for their use of coloured gemstones and textured gold pieces.
