Description
DATE: The Bronze Age, c. 1200 BC
A super fascinating collectable torque necklace, dating from the Bronze Age, 1200 BC. This was found in Yorkshire (not by us) using a metal detector, its amazing what can be found in the ground after 3,225 years!! Yes, that many... During this period, jewellery was often made simple and functional, made from bronze wire, plates, and sheets- necklaces, bracelets rings and earrings were most popular. The styles were mostly geometric, with the use of different shapes from squares, triangles and spirals. This torque necklace piece is modelled in Bronze, with amazing antique patina and is presented in a fitted wooden box with glass lid.
