DATE: Late Victorian, c.1900

An exceptional Victorian snowflake pendant (with detachable brooch fittings) dating from the turn of the century, circa 1900. The quality and craftsmanship are particularly fine, with delicate openwork forming various floral and foliate motifs, set with alternating old cut diamonds and natural pearls. The centre of the piece is set with a large dreamy natural pearl, displaying a lovely velvety sheen. Its set with around 1.60 carats of old cut diamonds, set in silver, and 15 karat gold backed. Whoever made it had impeccable attention to detail, and its perfect for these colder, cosy, upcoming months.
