Description

DATE: Victorian, c.1880

A fabulous Victorian gold locket set with the gorgeous combination of old cut diamonds (1.12ct total) and juicy natural rubies (1.02ct total). The stones are set within the monogram within a fine gold border that creates the letters. Modelled in 18 karat gold throughout (stamped at the bail), it features a brushed effect behind the letters. The back of the locket is simple and rich in yellow gold, and its hinged down the left hand side, opening to reveal two locket compartments, one set with an original photograph.
