DATE: Georgian, c.1800

A wonderful Georgian enamel clasp made in France in the early 19th Century. It features the words amitié, fidélité, and souvenir (love, loyalty, and remember) along with a forget-me-not, a tulip, and a dog. Modelled in 18 karat gold, it can be worn on a fine chain as a pendant or charm, or indeed as a clasp as originally intended. Such a unique love token, with sweet romantic sentiments.
