DATE: Regency Period, c.1810

This fantastic Regency period collar necklace is modelled as a snake. The snakey links (yes, pun intended) are modelled in 15 karat gold, almost like "scales", and moves around in your hand, much like a snake! The main drop is a gorgeous snake head, set with a triple emerald "brain", striking garnet cabochon eyes and gorgeous applied and engraved floral detailing. From its mouth drops a gold heart, identically decorated with a locket back and original photograph (can be removed for your own). With a wearable length of 15 inches, its fastened at the head with an additional safety chain. It remains in lovely antique condition and dates to circa 1810.
