DATE: Georgian, c.1810

An exceptional Georgian mourning ring dating from the early 19th Century, circa 1810. The head is formed as a padlock, with a central locket compartment and studded with pearls and French jet. The elaborate split shoulders are adorned with foliate detailing, and the back of the head bears the inscription "Isabella I. J."
