Victorian Marcasite & Blue Glass Flower Cluster Ring
Victorian Marcasite & Blue Glass Flower Cluster Ring
$970.00
Description
DATE: Victorian, c.1860
A charming Victorian period ring set with a drilled blue glass stone, with a lovely marcasite studded flower motif to the centre. Marcasite (or pyrite) was a popular choice in jewellery design, dating back to the Victorian period. The "stone" displays a metallic sheen, almost giving the same effect as a gemstone! These stones continue around the outside of the vivid blue centre, resting in fine silver settings and leading to the floral open worked gallery and 18k yellow gold band. Looks great worn as a pink ring, but can also be resized for larger wear.
