See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. The three wise monkeys are an old Japanese pictorial maxim, embodying the aforementioned proverbial principle. The three monkeys are Mizaru, covering his eyes, who sees no evil; Kikazaru, covering his ears, who hears no evil; and Iwazaru, covering his mouth, who speaks no evil. 

This gold charm dates from the early 20th Century, and embodies the maxim, adding the message the Secret of Happiness in blue enamel. It's crafted in 14 karat gold.
