Early Victorian "Semper Fidelis" Wedding Band
Early Victorian "Semper Fidelis" Wedding Band
$1,650.00
Description
DATE: Victorian, c.1850
A superb Early Victorian wedding band engraved inside with the words: Semper Fidelis, "always faithful". The S and F have been intertwined to form a monogram, possibly the first two initials of the betrothed... or of the one who gave the ring, perhaps. It's lovely quality, modelled in 18 karat gold that's developed the most gorgeous patina over the years.
