DATE: Art Deco, c.1920

Jaw-dropping antique signet ring crafted around a central 4.5 carat natural Ceylon sapphire, no heat. The colour is gorgeous, an intense royal blue, with lighter hints when moved in the light. It's cushion cut, which shows off the colour brilliantly. The shoulders feature bright diamonds and sapphires which alternate and pinch towards the ends. With fine millegrain around the sapphire bezel and the shoulders. The openwork to the gallery allows plenty of light in behind the stones, and it's crafted in platinum, dating from the Art Deco period, circa 1920.
