DATE: Victorian, c.1880

An unusual antique oval pendant featuring four circular cut-out sections, and adorned with the most gorgeous floral and foliate chased detailing. It dates from the late 19th Century, with flowers and scroll-like foliage on one side (pictured) and ivy leaves and a blank shield on the other (presumably with the intention of it's owner adding a monogram). It's modelled in 9 karat gold throughout, and was likely initially created as a pocket watch fob to be worn on the end of the chain.
