DATE: Victorian, c.1880
A beautiful antique heart locket with guilloché enamelled front depicting a yellow poppy. The detail is incredible, and combined with the tricolour pastel coloured background (blue, yellow, pink), it's an incredibly attractive example. The locket opens to reveal two heart-shaped compartments, and the reverse is engraved with the initials NL. Crafted in 9 karat gold, it dates from the late Victorian period, circa 1890.
