DATE: Georgian, c.1820

Particularly elegant Georgian seal fob dating from the early 19th century. The base is set with a cushion shaped amethyst, the table intaglio carved with the words FORGET ME NOT and (you guessed it) a forget-me-not flower (the words are reversed to make an imprint in wax). Crafted in 15 karat gold with impeccable neoclassical engraved detailing.
