This charming antique object will help you see a little bit better... Let me explain! This round silver gilt piece is used to magnify and focus anything small you'd like to look at. It features a mechanism, where you can pull out the front and look through the large glass piece at the back. It helps you to focus on whatever you may be looking at, and magnify it at the same time- very much like a loupe! Its round in shape, and features fittings for wear on a chain... You could take this with you everywhere you go. Dates from the Georgian period, circa 1820, and of French origin.
