DATE: Georgian, c.1750

A lovely antique collectable etui, with enamel flowers upon a baby pink background. Usually a small case for holding needles, cosmetics, or other small articles such as matchsticks. This particular one has the words "A Friends Gift"... "To the Most Amiable" to the front. And to the back, "Remember her who gives this Trifle" and "Esteem the Giver". Most likely would have been a sentimental gift to a friend, to show your love and friendship. Dates from the Georgian period, circa 1750.
