DATE: Georgian, c.1800

A charming Georgian urn locket dating from the Georgian period, circa 1800. It's decorated with seed pearls and emeralds - the pearls around the border, the emeralds on the plinth and the 'ribbon' motif around the sides. The heart-shaped locket compartment is currently home to a woven lock of hair, and is accessed from the back of a hinged glass compartment (so you can add your own keepsake). Crafted in 15 karat gold throughout.
