Georgian Coral Hand With Collection Of Amulets Pendant
$2,100.00
Description
DATE: Georgian, c.1830
A charming Georgian pendant formed as a red coral hand, complete with a snake bangle that wraps around the wrist, clutching a set of seven carved coral amulets. It was likely made in Rome as a souvenir for an English Grand Tourer to bring home. The amulets include: an oil lamp, a brush, a stick, jester, boot, rat/mouse, and a wicker basket. Maybe all of these were lucky to the people at the time?... Crafted in 15 karat gold and dating from the Georgian period, circa 1830.
