DATE: Georgian, c.1800

A cool Georgian seal fob set with citrine base featuring an intaglio carving of the ancient goddess Athena/Minerva. She's depicted wearing a Corinthian helmet with a greyhound side insignia (possibly heraldic, as it doesn't make much sense in the context of the ancients) and feather crest. The body is crafted in 15 karat gold, with a sleek, minimalist design - contrary to the usually high ornamentation of the period - featuring elegant curves and simple accents. Dating from the turn of the 19th century, circa 1800.
