DATE: Edwardian, c.1910

This gorgeous antique brooch dates from the Edwardian period, and is set with the most gorgeous 9.8ct oval cut aquamarine. It displays a fantastic colour, a dreamy blue with hues of green/turquoise as it catches the light. Surrounding the stone is a masterclass of openwork design ornately swirling round the stone creating two love knots, topped with enamel in white and black polka dot. At each end, a single dreamy pearl rests, bringing the whole piece together, crafted entirely in 18k gold. A lovely piece, to be worn as a brooch or pendant.
