DATE: Art Deco, c.1920

An amazing Art Deco ring set with a fine quality 5.63 carat aquamarine. Its gorgeous cut presents the stones' colour perfectly... You could say it displays that "Santa Maria" colour- a rare medium toned, highly saturated colour. It shows a transparent appearance, and the light reflects from the stone beautifully when moved around on the finger. Its set in platinum with geometric set transitional cut diamonds at each shoulder, each stone surrounded by fine millegrain detailing. The band is slim while the gallery is open worked, and it remains in a gorgeous antique condition.
