DATE: Art Deco, c.1920

This striking marquise opal is set within a cluster of fine platinum millegrain and brilliant cut diamonds. The opal displays fantastic colour play, dominated by vivid greens and blues, and also including oranges, yellows and purples. It rests in platinum claws, where the halo is set with approximately half a carat of diamonds. The head also features a finely pieced gold gallery, leading to the split shoulders and 18k yellow gold band.
