DATE: Georgian, c.1820

A fine pair of antique earrings dating from the Georgian period, circa 1820. Each one is set with two vibrant green paste gemstones, individually set in articulated 15 karat gold mounts that feature textured sides. It's a gorgeous colour combination, and they're a good size too. The fact they're in 15 karat gold reflects the high prices that paste could command in the 18th and 19th Centuries.
