DATE: Georgian, c.1820

This breath-taking antique cluster ring is dripping with old cut diamonds... Set with a total of 5.36 carats, it dates from the Georgian period, circa 1820. The centre stone is of a gorgeous cut, with each of its facets hitting the light as it moves across your finger. It weighs at 2.86 carats, and is highly bright, sparkly and chunky. Surrounding this is a cluster of further old cuts, 2.5 carats total, each just as sparkly, creating that gorgeous flower cluster head. Each of the stones rest in cut down settings- typical of the period- with an open worked gallery and super fine ribbed gold band, in rich 18 karat gold. It features later added marks to the inner band "1909", most likely a gift from one lover to another...And the piece itself remains in lovely antique condition.
