DATE: Art Nouveau, c.1910

A stunning lavaliere pendant set with Peridot stones, Amethyst and Pearl. With fine millegrain, the pearls are set in a floral design, swopping underneath to a single amethyst dangling freely. The three peridot stones are set near to the top and at each side paired with more small pearls. With an articulated top and drop, it also remains paired with a brooch fitting on the back. It's crafted in 15 karat gold and dates from the Art Nouveau period, circa 1910.

This suffragette style piece, uses the colours the ‘Suffrage’ flag. White stands for purity, green for hope and purple for dignity. The Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU), often called 'Suffragettes', formed after 60 years of peaceful campaigns. After this, they engaged specialist chemists to manufacture explosives, cut telephone wires to bring down government communications, and engaged in mass window smashing campaigns across London’s West End.
