Art Deco Ruby & Diamond Trilogy Ring
Art Deco Ruby & Diamond Trilogy Ring
$5,150.00
Description
DATE: Art Deco, c.1915
A gorgeous Art Deco trilogy ring dating from circa 1915. The principal stone is a .68 carat ruby, oval cut and flanked by two sparkling old cut diamonds. The stones in a trilogy ring can be said to represent various things including: the past, present, and future; to love, honour, and cherish; friendship, love, and devotion. My favourite is definitely is "to love, honour, and cherish", especially in the context of an engagement ring- On the inner band, there is a small engraving, which I presume was a gift from one person to another. It reads "to M.J.D", with the first part of it unfortunately worn off. Maybe this was their engagement ring! This example's crafted in 18 karat white gold throughout with a lovely claw settings and pierced gallery.
