DATE: Victorian, c.1890

A fabulous example of the chequerboard ring.... set with two rows of alternating sapphires and old cut diamonds, with further rose cut diamond points in-between the main stones. It dates from the late Victorian period, is modelled in 18 karat gold with silver settings, and features a lovely scroll detailed gallery and shoulders.
