DATE: Victorian, c.1880

The mother of all chequerboard rings.... set with two rows of alternating sapphires and old cut diamonds, with further diamond point accents in the corner between the main stones. It dates from the 1880, modelled in 18 karat rose gold, and bears the French owl mark to the outer band at the back.
