DATE: Victorian, c.1870

A cool antique carnelian signet ring, the face carved with an Elephant head intaglio above the initials IS. It has been reverse carved, allowing the wearer to stamp the crest into a wax seal. Modelled in 18 karat gold throughout, the piece dates from circa 1870.
