DATE: Victorian, c.1890

A cool and classic double Albert chain with T-bar in the centre. With fine curb links, that each feature English hallmarks for 18k gold, and two clasps. The length, 15 inches makes it suitable for layering and unisex wear. Dates from the Victorian period, circa 1890 and weighs in at 46 grams. Albert Chains were used to suspend pocket watches, and were named after Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert who often wore them. Both Victoria and Albert were considered "fashion trendsetters".
