A stunning strand natural pearl necklace dating from the Edwardian period, circa 1910. Originally retailed by Garrard & Co, the strand features graduated natural freshwater pearls which display a gorgeous and even colour throughout, and fastens with a platinum diamond clasp. They remain in great condition, and measurements range from 4mm to 8mm. With an 18 inch wearable length, it comes complete with its original Box.
The origin of Garrard & Co Ltd can be traced back to 1722, when George Wicks set up his business in Threadneedle Street in London, and in the same year entered his mark in Goldsmiths’ Hall. They were appointed the first official Crown Jeweller in 1843 Garrard has long been the first choice, from Queen Victoria's Sapphire wedding ring to the Princess of Wales’ engagement ring!
