DATE: Mid-Century, c.1940

Stunning mid century diamond three-stone ring dating from the late 1940s. The band is engraved with a bark-like texture, and the gallery is positively sculptural - distilling the curves and lines from the preceding Art Deco era into a minimal, clean line design. The three old Euro diamonds total a shade under 2 carats in weight, the middle set in a square platinum mount, and the flanking stones in tapered mounts - clean and bright diamonds with excellent flash and fire on account of the small tables and large pavilion facets.
