DATE: Georgian, c.1790

A fantastic Georgian memorial ring, with an elongated oval shaped head with a lock of blonde hair, neatly tied in a bow tied with gold ropework behind a glass compartment. A border of dark blue enamel surrounds this with a small pattern of gold and blue dots. It's crafted in 15k gold throughout with bifurcated shoulders. The reverse shows a small memory of names and the year 1790 and age 21. So in this case, a young woman died at the age of 21 and this ring was crafted in memory of her.
