DATE: Victorian, c.1890

A lovely Victorian half hoop ring, set with three graduated turquoise cabochons and four old cut diamonds nestled between. It's modelled in rich 18k gold, and features a lovely carved gallery, with scroll motifs that continue up to form the claws that hold the stones in place, displaying their colour perfectly. The details travel along the shoulders, and it dates from the Victorian period, circa 1890. The inner band features engraving with the initials A L W and G L W.
