DATE: Georgian, c.1800

Charming Georgian cut steel earrings, circa 1800. The drops each comprise eight faceted "domes" of steel, designed so the shiny faces glint and glisten in candlelight (or electric lights, now). Unlike most cut steel jewellery, they're dainty and very wearable, likely fashioned from a single larger piece at some point over the past 200+ years.
