DATE: Antique, c.1900

This fierce antique brooch is French made and modelled as a sword. The sword can be seen as a symbol of honour and protection, and the long pointed shape is modelled in silver, leading to the diamond set handle. Old and rose cut diamonds are diagonally set, graduated across the silver settings, while three single diamonds rest along the bottom of the handle, with the additional one resting at the top! The back features pretty open worked settings, with a typically French yellow gold brooch mechanism/fastening. Wear this along your jacket collar, or even add to a chain for a super striking look.
