Description

DATE: Victorian, c.1860

This amazing antique drop pendant is modelled as a snake, set with gorgeous and chunky old cut diamonds (approx. 0.69ct total), along with high Victorian, vibrant blue enamel. The snakes face is fierce and bright, with pointed teeth grasping onto a diamond set tapered drop. Its head features swirling gold settings, further set with old cuts with a single stone set at its charming nose. Its eyes are piercing with red rubies, and the whole piece swirls and curves, gorgeously decorated with blue enamel with gold foliate motifs around the edges. Its crafted in rich 18k yellow gold throughout with a secret little locket compartment at the drop. Dates from the Victorian period, circa 1860.
