DATE: Victorian, c.1890

A fantastic antique "pool of light" locket dating from the Victorian period. Its made up of two highly domed rock crystals, the piece is hinged down one side and opens up to store a photograph or other keepsake. The rock crystal magnifies the contents when closed (pool of light) and it's crafted in rich 15k gold throughout.
