DATE: Victorian, c.1880

Since ancient times the phallus has been a symbol of fertility and good fortune... and, probably, always with a certain element of humour! This one is made from a piece of carved jade- a stone of prosperity, emotional balance, and protection- the two go together quite well! It dates from the Victorian period, circa 1880, and features 9k gold fittings for wear on a chain.
