DATE: Etruscan Revival, c.1870

This cool pair of Etruscan Revival earrings are set with the lovely combination of ruby and pearl, set amongst ornate ropework and pommel detailing. Crafted in 15 karat yellow gold throughout, each earring comprises three articulated drops- pear shaped tops are set at the slim gold wires that link to gold scroll motif "crowns", where the large oval centre pieces hang. They're beautifully decorated with fine detailing and gemstones, with slinky tassel pointed drops. They look fantastic worn, with great movement throughout, dropping nearly 2 and a half inches from the ear! They have remained in great condition, dating to circa 1870.
