DATE: Mid-Century, c.1940

These impressive oversized Mid-Century earrings are abstract in style, focusing on clean lines and curved shapes... set with gemstones of course. Dating to circa 1940, each earring is set with gorgeous natural emeralds, bright and well saturated and set along the strip that flares out from the centre. The diamonds are set in a double row, curving around the two scrolled gold motifs that make up the entire earrings. They're crafted in 18 karat gold throughout, with pretty pierced gallery's at each diamond strip. This pair definitely make a statement, secured with post and lever back fittings.
