DATE: Edwardian, 1902

 An exceptional antique heart pendant by Cartier Paris. One side features a diamond-set crossed torches motif on a vibrant green guilloché enameled backdrop. Turning it over we find the initials CC - in high carat yellow gold - and a date: October 8th 1902. It's crafted in platinum throughout, with fine hand-chased detailed sides and signet Cartier Paris. More than likely it was created as a private commission... but for whom and why 8th Oct '02 we'll probably never know... As we can expect from Cartier Paris, the design and quality are both outstanding.
