DATE: Edwardian, c.1910
An incredible natural Ceylon sapphire with vivid cornflower blue colour, certified a shade under 5 carats with no heat treatment. It's a mixed cushion cut, likely cut on site at the mine, set in a beautifully proportioned platinum mount with old cut diamond shoulder accents and French hallmarks. Dating from the early 20th century, circa 1910, a stunning stone with excellent transparency and colour and largely free from inclusions.
